Friendship is such a cozy thing to draw, isn’t it? But its also quite hard!
Little hugs, warm smiles, hands reaching out to each other… it’s the kind of feeling that fits so well on a page. Not long ago, one of you guys commented on a previous article, asking for friendship drawing ideas. It took me some time, but I came up with as many as possible. I took inspiraton from Pinterest, as well as Canva to help me!
So in this post, I’m sharing friendship drawing ideas that are cute, simple, and full of heart.
You’ll find easy ideas for two friends, three friends, or even four friends – all celebrating connection and love.
If you’re looking for easy friendship drawings, best friend sketch ideas, or just a little inspiration to fill your sketchbook, you’re in the right place.
Let’s get started 💛

- Then go over your initial sketch with an ink pen of your choice
- When the ink has dried out, erase the sketch under it
- Done!
Hearts

Let’s start with an easy idea: a cute heart with “best friend” written inside. You can change the text, it’s easy! Also, you could draw multiple of these hearts and write names inside each one of them. Super cute and easy, and a simple way to show love!

Another way to represent friendship easily can be drawn by drawing two speech bubbles connected, with a heart inside. It’s the feeling of late-night talks, secret jokes, and little messages that make your day better.

A little envelope holding a card with a heart that says “bff” ♥
It feels like sending a secret hug by mail, just to remind your friend they mean the world to you.
Two Friends
Now let’s check out some cute drawing ideas with groups of two friends. In this section, there are only drawings of duos! (if you’re interested in groups of 3 or 4, check further down the collection, there are some ideas for you as well.)

Two little girls holding hands, with a happy heart floating above them. It’s like a mix between stick figure and chibis. And if you’re interested in drawing chibi girls, I invite you to check my other article: 29 Cute and Easy Chibi Girl Drawing Ideas!

This one represents the friendship between a very clingy friend and a super happy one. Don’t we all know this one friend that’s just so full of love? Sometimes, you love so much that you just want to squeeze your friend in a super tight hug! This doodle represents this feeling, haha.

Two little characters with tiny plant sprouts on their heads, hugging each other tight. They’re growing together, just like real friends do. A super cute vision on friendship, I think. ♥

Two cute chibi cats holding a heart that says “bff” ♥
It’s soft, cozy, and feels just like those friendships that are a little silly and very sweet. I love drawing animals to represent humans, lol. A bit like they do in Animal Crossing!

Two bear friends hugging under a sky of stars.
They’re looking up, sharing dreams and quiet moments, a cozy kind of magic. It could represent friends or lovers. But for me, it really represent a peaceful moment.

Sometimes, the simplest is just the cutest. I don’t know why these characters with super round heads look so cute. Aren’t they just like extra cute? They make me think of smiskis, a bit.
It’s a soft and pure little moment, where no words are needed at all.

Two simple characters with their arms wrapped around each other, under the word “friends”!
They look ready to take on the world together. It’s a very easy way to represent you and your friend.

A bear and a bunny standing side by side, holding a big heart between them. Do you recognize the bunny? It’s the very famous Miffy, of course~! I love Miffy so much that I even have a cute stuffy of her on my desk, lol. So I had to draw her. And other ideas with Miffy are coming up right after this one.

Here is another idea with the same characters. The bear is hugging Miffy (the bunny) and is super happy. Miffy never really has much expression due to the iconic “x” mouth, so it’s always funny to see interactions between characters.

And a last one including Miffy and the little bear for this series of duos! Sometimes friendship is just showing up and being there.

Two puzzle pieces coming together, with a heart right in the middle.
It’s that feeling of finding someone who fits perfectly into your life.

Two hearts with tiny faces, floating toward each other with a little heart between them.
It’s sweet and simple, like two souls who just get each other. Definitely easier than some ideas we’ve discovered so far, if you want something extra easy!

This one is a bit more difficult, and comes with a lot of personality. A little bear blowing a kiss, and a blushing cat catching it with a shy smile. Isn’t it overly cute?
It’s the kind of moment that fills you with happy feelings.

This one is also full of personality, but in another way, lol. I’m kinda similar to the friend on the left. I love my friends, but I don’t like hugging them. So if they really want to… that’s me. haha

A weasel sort of animal with tiny wings and a cat holding a little pink heart together. Actually, the animal on the left looks like any animal with round ears, lol. But I wanted to draw Aiki! If you don’t know, Aiki is the mascot of “a sleepy creative”. I love her!

Two half of a toast make a whole! Aren’t they cute? They’re definitely make for each other, that’s for sure ♥

A sleepy cat, a happy dog. A traditional couple of cute friends, isn’t it? ♥

A cute polaroid of two friends. You can write the sentence you want on the bottom of the picture, it’s a cute way to draw a moment you remember spending with your friend!

Two friends happy to hold their friendship in their hands! The friendship is represented by the big heart, of course. ♥

And the last one of the collection of duo friendship drawing ideas: two hands forming a heart shape, with a small heart underneath. A soft and gentle way to show connection, trust, and care.
Three Friends
Now it’s time to discover a couple of ideas for groups of three. Unlike the duos, there aren’t many ideas in this section yet, but I will draw more of them as time goes by. For now, here they are!

Two bunnies hugging a smiling bear in the middle, with a heart floating above.
It’s the kind of friendship where you always make space for each other, and there’s lots of love to go around.

Three hands coming together to form a heart. I’ve seen this way of making hearts a lot of time on TikTok and social networks in general. You can also make it with four hands, but I haven’t drawn it yet.
Four Friends
And now, let’s focus on larger groups! Unfortunately, for now, there is only one drawing idea in this section. It takes a long time to draw, and it’s not easy to come up with many ideas either! But if I think of anything, I’ll add it.

A bear, a cat, another bear, and a bunny (Miffy!) standing side by side for a picture. This is the true “squad” energy, a little team full of memories, jokes, and a thousand shared adventures.♥
Wrap Up
Friendship looks different for everyone. Some friendships are loud and silly. Some are quiet and gentle. All of them are special in their own way. You can tweak all of these ideas the way you want! Especially the little expressions on the character’s face. Just change them to fit your personality better if you need to.
