Hi everyone 🙂 Today, I’m back with yet another collection of easy drawing ideas ! And today’s topic is… mushrooms. A little touch of fall on our sketchbook, as the summertime comes to an end. Mushrooms are the perfect way to draw the fall season in my opinion, but also just an easy vegetable to doodle.
I think they make everything look extra cozy!

Materials
- Use a pencil and an eraser to sketch your doodle first
- Then go over your initial sketch with an ink pen of your choice
- When the ink has dried out, erase the sketch under it
- Done!
1. Mushroom Kitty
Imagine a super cute kitty with a mushroom cap as a hat! The cat sits adorably with a round face and tiny paws, while the mushroom cap, dotted with spots, fits snugly over its head. This one is perfect for combining your love of cats and mushrooms into a single, whimsical doodle!
2. Two Mushroom Buddies
Here’s a pair of mushrooms with cute faces, one shown from the side and the other from below, as if they’re floating in the air. Their simple, rounded shapes make them easy to draw, and the little sparkles around them add a magical touch.
The one on the top is called a Shiitake Hanagiri, which is cutting a “x” on the shiitake mushroom cap to make it look fancy 🙂
3. Mushroom with Leaves
This mushroom stands tall with a well-defined cap and stem, flanked by a couple of small leaves on either side. It’s a bit more detailed with the textured lines under the cap, but still simple enough for anyone to draw. It adds a natural vibe to your collection.
4. Duo of Fly Amanitas
This drawing features two mushrooms, one larger and one smaller, both with spotted caps. These are called “Fly Amanita” mushrooms. Or at least, I tried to make them look like amanitas ! 🙂 The detailed lines under the caps give them a realistic look while still keeping it simple. It’s like a little family of mushrooms!
5. Simple Mushroom
This is probably the simplest mushroom doodle you can think of ! Just grab your pencil and try it out. 🙂
6. Bumpy-Capped Mushroom
Here’s a mushroom with a unique twist—the cap is covered in little bumps or ridges, giving it a textured look. The stem is straightforward, making it a quick and easy sketch if you want to add some variety to your mushroom drawings.
7. Classic Mushroom
A straightforward mushroom with a rounded cap and a well-proportioned stem. The clean lines make it a great choice for those who love simplicity. The mushroom is drawn from the bottom up angle. It is ideal for practicing your basic mushroom shape.
8. Mushroom in a Wizard Hat
This mushroom is wearing a whimsical, pointed wizard hat with a quirky tilt, complete with spots and a happy little face. The combination of a mushroom and a wizard hat brings a magical, storybook quality to your drawing. It’s perfect for anyone who loves a bit of fantasy.
9. Triple Mushroom
Three mushrooms stand in a row, each with slightly different cap shapes but all with a similar style. It’s a fun way to practice drawing variations of the same subject and can be a nice pattern for borders or a larger design.
10. Laid-Back Mushroom

11. Honey Mushrooms
A group of tall, thin mushrooms clustered together, resembling Honey Mushrooms (Armillaria mellea). These mushrooms often grow in groups and have a distinctive, tall stature. This drawing is excellent for practicing how to draw multiple mushrooms together in a natural arrangement.

These mushrooms look like they are caught in a graceful dance, their wavy edges fluttering in the wind. These are called “Wavy Caps”. 15. Cat on a Mushroom
This one combines two adorable elements—a happy cat curled up on top of a large mushroom! The mushroom has a wide, flat cap, and the cat looks so relaxed, it’s almost like the mushroom is its personal bed. 16. Fallen Mushroom

Here, I tried to draw a kind of mushroom called “chanterelles”. It has a somewhat wavy cap. So I drew two of these mushrooms side by side, each with a slightly different cap shape, but both with a similar simple style.

This sketch features a bunch of tall, thin mushrooms growing closely together. They are called Enoki mushrooms. Their caps are small and rounded, sitting atop long, slender stems. It’s a fun way to practice drawing groups of mushrooms and can add a nice dynamic to your artwork.
19. Curvy Mushrooms
A couple of mushrooms with stems that curve elegantly, making them look a bit like they’re dancing. The caps are slightly tilted, adding to the sense of movement. This drawing is great for adding a playful touch to your mushroom collection.
20. Mushroom Girl
Here’s a unique twist—a girl whose dress is a mushroom cap! Her dress is wide and round with spots, and her legs are shaped like a mushroom stem. This drawing is perfect for adding a touch of fantasy to your sketches, blending human and nature elements in a charming way.

This drawing features a whimsical mushroom that doubles as a cozy little house. The round windows and door add charm, while the surrounding tiny mushrooms complete the scene. It’s a fun idea for imagining what life might be like if you could live inside a mushroom!
28. Simple Happy Mushroom
A simple yet tall mushroom stands alone with a slender stem and a slightly tilted cap. The minimalistic design makes it an easy drawing to practice while still looking elegant and refined. As I just did with this drawing, you can add a cute face. It really brings it together, doesn’t it ?
29. Small Mushroom
Another cute and simple mushroom like the previous ones, but this one has little legs! 🙂
30. Cute Watercolor Mushrooms
This last drawing features three little mushroom characters, each with a different colored cap—orange, blue, and red. Their round faces and blushing cheeks give them a cheerful, friendly look, making them a great way to practice adding color to your mushroom sketches.
