Love Drawing Ideas

Cute and Easy Love Drawing Ideas

Hello everyone!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so I thought of making some love related drawing ideas! You can use them to decorate your Valentine’s cards, or even when it’s not Valentine’s Day, whenever you want to let your significant other know you love them. Receiving a love letter always feels nice. If you don’t have a proper love card at home, you can make one yourself then write in it! I feel it makes it even more special. And it’s always a nice gesture. It’s something I like to do from time to time for mine!

Sooo, are you ready? Let’s dive into it.

Love Letters

Let’s start with some love letters. For each of the drawings, you can add a personalized text or sentence! It’s super easy to make because of the basic shapes used, and is super cute.

First, I decided to draw a cute animal bringing the love letter. In my case, it’s the mascotte of the website (aiki). But you can make it any animal. Maybe an animal you have, or an animal your significant other loves.

Following up with the closed love letter on its own! To make it more special, you can add sparkles like I did. But if you don’t like it, feel free to keep it simple and draw the envelope only! Super cute and easy.

Next up, the envelope is open! And a tons of hearts fly out of it. I added some colors because it makes it look nicer. Isn’t it super cute as well?!

Lastly, the love letter comes out of the envelope. You can actually write a couple of words on it, or many if you make it big. And if you associate these three drawings together, you can actually make a very simple “opening love letter” animation!

Heart Box

This drawing idea is similar, but instead of an envelope, you draw a box! You can make this with many different recipients and it will always look cute. (or almost always?)

Love Locks & Keys

Now let’s draw some love locks, and keys to go with it! Isn’t it always a nice way to represent love? You know, there’s this tradition all around the world to hang a love lock in a special place, hoping for everlasting love and relationship. I find it cute.

First, a simple love lock flying around. This one is super easy to draw, and would make a great front cover for a Valentine’s Card in my opinion!

I would say this one if the more complicated version of the love lock. But isn’t it also super cute? I really love it. It has definitely more depth than the first one, but both are cute in their own way.
Here is this drawing on a card!

You can see what it would look like with this drawing idea, but you can do it with any of the love drawing ideas in this article. It’s even better if you write a little sentence like I did.

Let’s go back to a more simple love drawing idea with this love key. You can couple it with the first lock! I added some sparkles to give it a magical touch.

Love Plant

This is my take on some sort of love plant! As you know, I love sparkles, so I added some on this drawing idea as well. Sparkles make any drawing more whimsical and cute in my opinion. And this love plant is super easy to draw! I think it would be nice to add more to it and make a big plant for the front cover of a love card.

Love Cherries

If your significant other loves a specific fruit, you can also turn it into the cover drawing of your love card! Aren’t these love cherries super cute? You can make this kind of drawing with any fruit really!

Whimsical Hearts

Now let’s discover some whimsical hearts. The drawing while be focused on the heart itself, in different ways!

First, a healing heart. Of course, it depends on what kind of relationship you and your partner have, but in some circumstances, it can make sense to draw this for your significant other.

A heart with wings! This drawing idea looks more like a love tattoo, doesn’t it ? You can make it more complex and intricate by adding more details, or keeping it simple as it is.

Another flying heart, but this one looks way more cute than the one we just saw above. It’s the perfect touch to a love letter. You can remove the face of the heart for a more simple look as well!

And yet another flying heart. Just another style that I wanted to show so you can have as much inspiration as possible! When you browse through my collections, you’ll see I often do that. I want to give you ideas, but you can always make it your own, merge drawing ideas and come up with a brand new one!

This one flying heart is starting to look more like a tribal, doesn’t it ? If you continue on this line of changes, you can really make it into a heart tribal drawing idea or even heart tribal tattoo.

Another idea you can easily draw related to hearts is a heart lollipop or balloon. This one is super easy to draw, with a bow to make it even more cute.

Love & Animals

These following drawing ideas will couple animals with love. Whether it’s simply linking it with a heart, or making it a bit more complex, you’ll discover a couple of ideas if you and your partner are both animal lovers!

Let’s start with a cat! This one is super simple and cute. You can make the heart bigger if you really want to emphasize on love more than the cat!

If you love both coffee and cats, this one can also be a good drawing idea to try! Isn’t it super adorable?

Now this one is a little more complicated, but super cute. If you love mice, or any kind of rodents, this is a great drawing idea for you. I drew mice for this one, but you can easily change it to any other rodent. Or any other animal if you bring it slight changes!

Here, I changed it for cats! And as I said just above, you can also change this one for any animal of your choice, like dogs! I would suggest you google your favorite animal in various positions to try drawing them. Then, just add the heart shaped tails! It works everytime.

If the animal you want to draw doesn’t really have a tail you can work with, we can also imagine other drawing ideas. This one is very simple: a bunny hugging a big heart.

Retro Love

If you like retro vibes, you can try a completely other kind of drawing with this love cassette. It’s also super easy to draw even though it might not look like it at first glance. Cassettes are made with basic shapes : rectangles and circles. Just start with the outer rectangle and work your way towards the center!

Love Potions

Love potions can also be a nice drawing idea to try! Let’s discover a couple of them.

The first drawing idea around this topic is a very round and cute love potion bottle. It feels super whimsical and cute in my opinion, and I would definitely love to receive a card with this kind of drawing on it.

This one is an easier version of the love potion. It has simple lines, and is perfectly symmetrical. If you prefer a more simple approach, this one is perfect! Quick and easy!

Easy Drawing Idea : potions

Another take on love potions! I originally drew these for my Halloween Drawing Ideas collection! There are many ways to draw everything, and I’m just here to give you a couple of ideas. So feel free to imagine your own, as always!

Jar of Hearts

If you like the idea of heart and glass bottles, but not love potions so much, what about a jar of hearts ? It’s a super cute drawing idea and also easier to draw than the love potions in my opinion. You can write a cute word on each heart as well!

From Other Collections

I think some of my other collections’ drawings would fit perfectly in this one as well, so I’ll show them to you in this article.

Bunny Bouquet

This one can be super cute if your significant other loves flower bouquet and a specific animal. Change the ears of the animal to which ever your partner likes! From my bunny collection.

Heart Balloons

If you remove the letters on each balloon and replace it with IU (for example) this can make another great love related drawing idea! From my New Year collection.

Love Cat

Cat Drawing Ideas

Another cute one, a cat with a “I love you” message. From my 2nd cat collection.

If there are any more, I will add them as well. But in my opinion, a good way to think is to search for your partner’s interests. For example, do they love a specific animal? Do they have a specific hobby? Try finding or thinking about what they really love, and make it the center of your drawing. It can be really meaningful and cute!

Wrap Up

And that’s it for the collection of drawing ideas around love, heart and Valentine’s Day! Of course, you can use them whenever you feel like it, but with Valentine’s Day coming soon, I thought it would be a cute idea to make!

As always, thank you so much for reading me and trying my drawing ideas, it always makes me so happy to read your opinions about them. Don’t hesitate to make requests for drawing ideas. I might not be able to make them right away, but I do keep them on my “to do” list, so you’ll see them coming at some point. 🙂

And if you want more drawing ideas, here are some recommendations~
