Hello there ! 🙂 I come back today with a new collection of drawing ideas ! Today, we are covering ducks ! Little ducks and ducklings everywhere. I really think ducks are super cute, and always make good material for humorous content.
We will discover a lot of different ways to draw the ducks, and also using different materials (marker, pen, some colors, some not…). You can try these drawing ideas easily with anything you have on hand though.
I hope you can find some nice ideas for your next duck doodles in this article! 🙂
Materials
- Use a pencil and an eraser to sketch your doodle first
- Then go over your initial sketch with an ink pen of your choice
- When the ink has dried out, erase the sketch under it
- Done!
1. Duckling on a Slice of Bread
Let’s start with a simple duckling sitting on a slice of bread. While I don’t think it is wise to feed bread to ducks, they’re often pictured in this way, and I find it adorable. This drawing idea is quite easy to reproduce. First, draw the slice of bread. Then, draw the little duckling sitting (or laying down if you prefer, you can check the other drawings for a laying position) and then erase the overlapping lines (the bread) ! 🙂
2. A Chubby Duck
Chubby ducks are really the most adorable thing. This one really seems unbothered, doesn’t it ?
3. Some Innocent Duck
Let’s draw a very innocent little duck. Or is it ? It’s up to you to decide. On Pinterest, you’ll see a lot of ducks holding knives. So I couldn’t help but draw one. Of course, it’s a joke – I don’t encourage violence what so ever.
4. Duck Wearing a Hoodie
Next up, let’s draw a duck wearing a hoodie. The duck has its wings in the hoodie’s pockets, and the hood is brought up on its head.
5. Cute Simple Duck
Next up, let’s draw a very simple duck ! I think this way of drawing the beak of the duck is the easiest way, as it is a simple oval form. You can also just not draw the legs if they’re too difficult for you to draw, it will still look like a cute simple duck.
6. Fed Up Duck
Ready to give your duck some character? This one is standing with one wing on its hip and the other pointing or gesturing. It’s got a confident, almost bossy stance. The simple lines make it easy to draw, but the pose gives it a lot of life and attitude. Drawing the eyes in this way gives this “fed up” expression easily. You can draw this expression for any of the ducks in the list, and see the drawing’s vibe change dramatically. 🙂
7. Duck Holding a Flower
The next one is a duck holding a flower!
8. Duck Laying Down
This one is a duck lying on its back, totally relaxed. It’s the perfect drawing for when you want to capture a lazy, carefree vibe. The duck’s simple shape makes it easy to draw, but the laid-back pose adds a touch of humor.
9. Duck Listening to Music
Here’s a duck that loves to groove! This sketch shows a duck wearing big headphones, happily walking along to the beat of its favorite tunes. The little music notes floating around it make the drawing feel lively and fun.
10. Duck’s Face, Tongue Out
A super simple and cute idea: just the face of a happy duck. The beak is slightly open, letting the tongue out. The eyes are closed in a cheerful expression. It’s a great quick sketch when you want to add some positivity to your drawing.
11. Angry Duck
Want to show a bit of emotion? Try drawing an angry duck! This one has its wings on its hips, and its eyebrows are furrowed in a grumpy expression. It’s a simple way to add some character and humor to your doodles.
12. Duck Swimming
Here’s a classic duck just floating in water. It’s a very simple outline, perfect for beginners. The round body and small head make it easy to draw, and you can add a little ripple effect in the water to give it that floating look.
13. Simple Duck
The duck is shown in a side profile with a long, smooth neck and a simple outline. The body has gentle curves, making it look calm and serene, perfect for those who enjoy a minimalist and clean design.scription
14. Cute Rubber Duck
This is a classic rubber duck design—small, round, and incredibly cute! With its big, round eyes and a plump little body, this drawing is super easy to replicate. It’s perfect for adding a playful touch to any doodle session.
15. Another Chubby Duck
If you love drawing something with character, try this plump duck sitting on a pillow. It’s another of my “chubby ducks”! The duck has a large, rounded body, tiny wings, and a slightly exaggerated beak, giving it a very cartoonish and fun appearance.
16. Cute Duckling with Phone
Modern meets cute in this drawing of a duckling holding a smartphone. The round, fluffy body, combined with the tiny wings clutching the phone, makes this a charming and humorous idea. Perfect for adding a modern twist to your duck drawings.
17. Curious Duck
This drawing captures a duck with its head tilted to one side, giving it a curious and endearing look. The beak is highlighted with soft colors, and the cheeks are slightly blushed, making this a sweet and approachable drawing idea.
18. Ducklings Relaxing
Here’s another cozy idea: a small duckling sitting on a soft cushion. The duck looks super relaxed, almost like it’s ready to take a nap. This drawing idea is great for conveying a feeling of comfort and contentment. It also has a cute little companion duck. The colors are made with watercolor effects!
19. Duck with Sunglasses
Another idea : a lively drawing of a duck with its wings raised high, as if it’s cheering or super excited. It’s also wearing sunglasses, adding a “I’m cool” look to it. The open beak and wings raised make this duck look full of energy and joy. It’s a great idea when you want to draw something that’s bursting with positivity.
20. Angry Duck Laying
This duck has an attitude! It’s lying on its side, resting its head on one wing, and looking cool as can be. The relaxed pose and slightly cocky expression give this drawing a playful edge, perfect for adding some personality to your sketches.
21. Cute Duck’s Face
This drawing is super simple yet so charming—a duck’s face with big, wide eyes and a small tuft of hair on top. The little heart floating beside its head adds a touch of love, making this a perfect quick doodle when you want to create something sweet and adorable.
22. Duck Crying
Capture some emotion with this duck that’s running and crying. Its tiny body and exaggerated teardrops make it both humorous and expressive. This is a great idea for adding a bit of drama to your drawings while still keeping it light-hearted.
23. Happy Duck
Here’s a joyful idea—a duck happily singing (or laughing, it’s up to you!) with its beak wide open and a little heart nearby. The round body and simple lines make this an easy drawing to replicate, and it’s perfect for expressing a cheerful mood.
24. Duck’s Emblem
This is a bit more decorative—a duck surrounded by a laurel wreath with a crown on top. It’s like the duck is being celebrated as royalty! This idea is great for creating a more intricate piece that still revolves around a simple, cute duck.
25. Duck in a Pool of Tears
Here’s a funny one—a duck completely flattened out, lying in a lake of its own tears. Its simple, stretched-out shape gives the impression of exhaustion or sadness, making it a funny – yet sad in some situations – and easy drawing idea.
26. Psyduck Crying
You probably know this duck, known as Psyduck from Pokémon. It’s one of the most famous cartoon ducks. It’s always having a headache. I really think psyducks are super adorable, and I could not not draw one!
The exaggerated expression makes it both cute and a bit comical, perfect for when you want to add a bit of over-the-top emotion to your drawings.
27. Cute Duck with a Knife
For something a little unexpected, here’s a drawing of a tiny, chubby duck holding a knife. It’s so absurdly cute that it’s funny, and it adds a playful twist to your typical duck drawing ideas. Definitely a conversation starter!
28. Another Simple Duck
This duck is sitting down, looking slightly worried, or startled. The round, simple body and the little sweat drop make it a relatable and easy-to-draw concept for those days when you just feel a bit overwhelmed.
29. Meh Duck
This drawing is all about attitude. It’s a close-up of a duck’s face, showing off a cool, laid-back expression with one eye half-closed. It’s a quick sketch, but it packs a lot of personality!
30. Very Demure Duck
This duck is all dressed up with a top hat and monocle, looking ready for a fancy event. The round body and little wings give it a cute, almost cartoonish feel. Adding accessories like a hat is a great way to give your duck drawing some flair.
