25+ Cute and Easy Tree Drawing Ideas

Hello everyone!

I’ve been having so much fun drawing lately, and after exploring some animal-themed ideas, I thought, why not switch things up with nature? So, I’m back with another collection of easy drawing ideas! This time, it’s all about trees! 🌳 I’ve noticed that many of you search “trees” on the website, but so far, I’ve never thought about it! So today is the day. Whether you’re looking to doodle a simple tree or get creative with whimsical designs, there’s something here for everyone.

Honestly, I love how trees can be both super simple to draw and wonderfully detailed if you want to go further. Plus, they’re perfect for adding cozy vibes to your sketches!

Now, let’s dive into some cute and easy tree drawing ideas!

Very Simple Trees

Let’s start with the most simple ways the represent trees. And while they are simple, they can still look cute! Whenever you want to quickly scribble a tree, I think these ideas are nice to keep in mind.

Sometimes, the simplest shapes make the cutest trees! Here you’ve got three easy designs: a puffy tree, a round tree, and a triangular pine. Each has its own personality, and they’re all super beginner-friendly. These are perfect if you want to experiment with different styles or just doodle some quick trees during a cozy drawing session.

Here’s a pair of pine trees with a clean, geometric look. Just a couple of triangles and some straight lines for the trunks and branches, and you’ve got yourself a cozy little forest! The difference in sizes adds a nice touch—like a parent and child tree hanging out together. These are great for winter scenes or holiday-themed drawings.

Another super simple tree drawing idea that proves that you don’t need any drawing to be perfect to be cute! When you scribble on your paper, it can look super cool and effortless. I love the look of it.

This one’s got a bit of a magical vibe! A row of tall, slender pine trees under a crescent moon, surrounded by twinkling stars. It’s simple yet whimsical, perfect for adding a dreamy night-time feel to your sketchbook. I had fun adding the little sparkles—it makes me think of quiet nights camping under the stars.

This tree is probably the closest to what we’re most used to when asked to draw trees. The rounded, bubbly outline gives it a soft and friendly vibe, perfect for beginners. The little “V” shapes suggest leaves. Super simple, but they bring the drawing to life.

One Line Trees

I know a lot of you like the one line drawings, so I’ve added a couple of one line trees to the collection!

One line drawings are the kind of drawing that looks impressive but takes just a few seconds. Great for when you want something simple yet eye-catching! Look at this pine tree. Super easy, takes 10 seconds!

The second one represents a Christmas tree. It’s a little bit harder since you need to draw the star correctly, but once you get the hang of it, it makes a great decoration for Christmas cards, for example. And if you want more Christmas drawings, I have another collection just for you!

But anyway, let’s continue with our trees!

The last one line tree that I’ve drawn is this one. It’s more complex than the other two and more detailed, but if you go slowly with your line and really take your time, you’ll get it just right! The flowing shapes of the leaves and trunk make it feel abstract, which I really like. It’s a fun challenge to see if you can draw it without lifting your pen!

Tree in a Bottle

Let’s follow up with a cute one!

If you want to make your tree look extra cute, why not bottling it up ? It’s not a common view, but it certainly is cute. A tiny tree inside a bottle, like a little world in a jar! The star details add a dreamy vibe, making it perfect for anyone who loves nature with a touch of fantasy.

Animal Crossing Tree

This one is just because I’ve always liked the look of the trees in Animal Crossing. If you’ve played the game, you know what I’m talking about! Aren’t they super cute?

This is the base shape of the Animal Crossing apple tree. It’s super simple, yet super cute. The final version isn’t that easy though:

This is a simplified final version of the Animal Crossing tree. In the game, the tree is much more detailed with the leaves, but to be honest, you can even put less and call it a day if you feel like it. By adding depth through color (playing around with different shades of green), you can make a really nice one as well!

Easy Tree

Before diving into more complexity, let’s draw another easy one!

This tree is super cute AND super easy to draw. Its shape comes from the Animal Crossing one, but I made it look more realistic. (a bit, lol) It’s erfect for anyone who wants to add tree doodle to their drawing.

Complex Trees

Let’s now tackle more complex tree shapes. They’re a bit more realistic, without going overboard.

The first one is this majestic tree. It’s actually the same tree I drew in the mini bottle! This tree has a beautifully broad canopy that spreads out like a giant, leafy umbrella. The gentle curves of the foliage make it feel peaceful, like the kind of tree you’d find in a park, perfect for picnics or relaxing under the shade.

Look at those fluffy treetops! The overlapping branches and soft, cloud-like shapes make it feel cozy and inviting. Actually, drawing cloud shapes instead of focusing on the complexity of the tree foliage is a great idea to draw a tree easily. Try it if you haven’t! This one’s perfect for peaceful landscape drawings or just some relaxing doodling.

This tree stands tall with a long, slender trunk and a rounded canopy at the top, giving it a graceful, elegant look. It feels like the kind of tree you’d spot standing proudly in an open field, reaching toward the sky. Perfect for adding height variety to your nature drawings! Or if you want to draw a giraffe, maybe.

Bring on the vacation vibes! This palm tree, with its wide leaves and curved trunk, instantly transports you to a sunny beach. 🌴 Perfect for summer-themed drawings or adding a splash of tropical warmth to your sketchbook. It’s not super easy to draw though!

This one adds a splash of color! The soft green shading gives it a lovely watercolor feel, while the brown trunk and branches add that earthy touch. Little leafy details make it look more realistic without being complicated. It’s the kind of tree you’d see on a sunny walk in the park.

Bare Trees

Trees don’t have leaves all the time, as you know. Let’s focus on a couple of bare trees, now!

Bare trees are not easy to draw either. The shape can be super intricate and sometimes, it doesn’t make much sense. This bare tree, with its twisting branches and absence of leaves, gives off a calm, wintry vibe. It’s perfect if you want to draw a moody or seasonal scene.

This one is a much easier version of a bare tree! It’s perfect for autumn or spooky-themed drawings. I love how you can play with the shapes of the branches to give it different moods! The idea is to keep the lines relatively straight. It gives off this bare tree, almost dead tree vibe. It depends on what you want, though!

Tree Scribbles

Ready to scribble some trees? Let’s give trees a stylized look!

The fluffy, round treetops are filled with messy scribbles, giving it a textured look without worrying about perfection. It’s like a doodle you’d make during a cozy afternoon, just letting your pen wander. Perfect if you’re in the mood for something quick and fun!

Here’s another scribbly one: this time with two fluffy trees side by side! The overlapping circles give it a playful feel, and the messy lines make it feel carefree. It reminds me of the kind of doodles you’d draw absentmindedly while chatting with a friend. Easy, quick, and super charming!

Tree Pieces

Because sometimes, you don’t want to draw the full tree. But you can still give the idea of a tree, without the full tree!

How charming is this little tree stump? It even has a little mushroom growing on its side. This would be perfect for fairy-tale scenes or cozy forest doodles.

A cute little log with a branch sticking out. So simple, yet fun to draw! The spiral rings on the end give it that classic chopped-wood look. This would be a cute addition to any forest scene or camping-themed illustration.

Tree Sihouette

This tree stands out with its bold, filled-in leaves! The clean shapes and sharp branches make it look modern yet playful. It’s great if you want something graphic that still feels like a tree. I’ve shown maybe easy trees in another section of the collection, and this one could be one of them. Super easy to draw!

Windy Tree Swaying

The last tree of the collection, and it’s a special one. The tree is fighting against the wind… You can almost feel it! The tree leans to the side with swirling lines that show the wind blowing through its branches. It’s such a dynamic drawing, perfect if you’re looking to capture movement in your doodles.

Wrap Up

I hope you enjoyed these cute and easy tree drawing ideas and found something that inspire you! Whether you prefer simple shapes, whimsical designs, or colorful doodles, there’s no right or wrong way to draw. Just have fun with it and let your imagination do the rest!

Remember, don’t worry about making things perfect. Every squiggle and line adds to your unique style. Take your time, experiment with different shapes and textures, and most importantly, enjoy the process. Drawing should feel relaxing and fun, like a cozy moment just for you.
