Stardew Valley Layouts

25+ Cozy Stardew Valley Farm Layout Ideas

If you’re an avid Stardew Valley player, you know how hard it can be to make your farm pretty. You work so hard, for so many weeks (or years in-game, lol), trying to make it look decent… and somehow, it still ends up looking like a messy draft. I’ve been there, lol.

That was until I found inspiration on Reddit. There’s a specific Reddit where people share their farm layouts, and you can see all kinds of creative designs (modded or not). It’s such a great source of inspiration and really helps you visualize different possibilities for your own farm.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend it! The only downside? There are so many layouts that it can take forever to scroll through them all. That’s why I put together this list of my absolute favorites! Of course, there are plenty of other beautiful ones out there, and new ones pop up every day.

So if you ever need inspiration, you know where to go.

For now, if you want a quick dose of cozy farm layout ideas, let’s dive right in!

Cozy SDV Farm Layouts

Standard Farms 🏡

If you love classic farming, this one’s for you. It’s the perfect blank slate – tons of open space for crops, barns, coops, and whatever else you dream up. No weird terrain, no obstacles, just pure farming freedom. This is the best choice for beginners since you don’t have to work around lakes, cliffs, or anything that might get in your way. Let’s check some inspiration!

This farm is so neat. Such a peaceful focal point! It’s the kind of farm that makes you want to grab a cup of tea and just wander around, taking in all the little details. Definitely a huge source of inspiration for anyone looking to create a farm with charm and flow!

by ElAchuKathe

This is how you nail an organic farm layout! Nothing feels too blocky or rigid, everything just flows so naturally. (in my opinion anyway lol) The amount of planning and dedication that went into this is incredible. The whole farm is a reminder that if you take your time and plan things out, you can create something truly special.

by Upper_Pirate_4609

A stunning Barbie farm. The flower shape at the center makes me think of Rapunzel, to be honest. I love it.

by DepressiveMan_

This design is probably one of the most creative designs I’ve seen, and it really deserves recognition. It looks so cute! The player asked for recommendations and many people were advising on tweaking the star shape, but I find it perfect the way it is, honestly.

by StardewValleyTanner

Here is another creative look for the Standard Farm layout. This player has shared their farm over the years and the modifications through updates, and I just love each version more and more. So pretty!

Riverland Farms 🌊

Hope you like water because this farm has a lot of it. Instead of wide fields for crops, you’ll be working with islands connected by bridges. That means less space for farming but an amazing setup for fishing. Some inspiration:

by bluetectic

This farm is so well done, especially considering how tricky the Riverland map can be to design! With all that water cutting into farm space, it’s not easy to create something that feels both organized and beautiful, but this farmer absolutely nailed it. Every detail is thoughtfully placed, from the smartly hidden silo behind the coop to the perfectly balanced decorations.

by Twinkling-Toes-

Another one that looks amazing. It looks busier than the one above it, which I love. And guys, even if your farm feels messy right now, don’t worry. If you’re in year two, feeling stuck, and not sure where to go next, this farm is the perfect inspiration to take a step back, rethink your space, and turn it into something amazing.

by luna_crescent15

If you’ve been struggling to make Riverland work, this farm is the perfect example of how to maximize space while still keeping things cute and functional. Definitely one of the best Riverland inspirations out there! (in my opinion)

Forest Farms 🌳

If cozy woodsy vibes are your thing, this is the farm for you. There’s less farming space than the Standard Farm. The trees and bushes make this farm feel so homey, but they also make expansion a little harder. Let’s check some inspiration!

A mod was used for the coloring of this farm (Vibrant Pastoral mod), but even without that, I just love the layout of this one. Even though it is very organized (and I usually don’t like it much), I feel like there’s still enough clutter for me to just fall in love with it?? I don’t know, I just love it.

by Sea-Confusion-949

Isn’t this one just so cute? Look at these little forests : the mushroom forest on the bottom left, and the green forest on the bottom right. It still has the forest feel while being completely functional!

by NoSeriouslyYeah

This farm layout looks more like a forest rather than a farm, but I couldn’t help posting it as well. Even though you probably can’t do much and have to stay indoors 100% of the time, it looks so cute, lol.

Hill Top Farms ⛏

This one’s for all the miners out there. The lower section of the farm has a built-in quarry that spawns stones, ores, and geodes depending on your Mining level. Super useful if you don’t want to spend all your time in the mines. And here are the layout ideas:

by Mr_Alpaka

This farm is so well-organized, and I love how every section flows together beautifully! The balance between crops, buildings, and open spaces makes everything feel thoughtfully placed, while still keeping that organic, lived-in Stardew feel.

by maistardew

This one is definitely one of my favorite for the Hilltop farm layout. I just love how everything is organized while staying relatively messy (I love clutter, so no clutter is not really attractive to me lol). It made me want to try the layout, even though I thought it’d be difficult.

by NoSeriouslyYeah

Every little detail, from the carefully chosen paths to the cozy corners, feels like it was placed with care and purpose. There’s a magical energy to this farm. Maybe because of the color palette used?

by purplebex

This farm is a labor of love. I just love the blue and earthy color palette. That level of detail and care pays off big time, because the final result is beyond gorgeous. Designing this layout mustn’t have been easy, but they absolutely nailed it.

Wilderness Farms 🌙

Want a farm that fights back? On this map, monsters spawn at night. Yep, that’s right. Instead of just relaxing after a long day, you’ll be grabbing your sword and dealing with Wilderness Golems (and at higher combat levels, Iridium Golems that drop Iridium Ore!). Layout ideas:

by fahimhasan117

I’ve never played and built a farm on the Wilderness layout, but isn’t this one super cute? The strawberry shaped crops make me want to try it as well, lol.

by Past_Crest7085

This layout is probably the favorite I’ve seen on the Wilderness layout. It’s super inspiring, and the author of this farm layout actually made this on the Switch!! Can you believe the dedication? omg

Four Corners Farms 🌾

This farm is perfect for multiplayer but also fun for solo players who like a mix of everything. It’s split into four sections, each inspired by a different farm type (forest farm, standard farm, fishing spot, hill top farm). Let’s check the inspiration!

by mutilatedfingers

This is a modded farm created on the Four Corners layout. The buildings look so cute! It comes from a japanese building mod, so you can’t have that with the base game. I really love the color palette of this farm.

by Pluvius_Aestivus

This layout is my favorite out of all the Four Corners layout ideas I’ve seen. As I wrote on this article before already, I really like the messy-organized look that gives farm an organic feel. For me, this is it.

by bryse528

Here is another look that look a little more organized while still keeping some of the clutter that I like.

by Money_Discipline_375

And here is a way more organized look! Urusually I’m not a fan of this kind of very symmetric feel and organized vibe, but this feels so neat and pretty…Am I changing my mind suddenly? yes, maybe.

Beach Farms 🐚

If you thought Riverland Farm was tough, Beach Farm takes it up a notch. It’s huge, but there’s one massive downside…Sprinklers don’t work on the sand. And some inspiration for you!

by emo2thaxtremo

This modded Beach Farm is straight-up magical. The medieval aesthetic mixed with the beach setting is such a unique combo, and it works so well together! This farm feels alive, and I love it!

by Okay-ish-_-Person

This pink-themed Beach Farm is adorable! Using a bunch of aesthetic mods, the farm is transformed into a cozy, pastel dream, and everything just fits together perfectly. Beach layouts can be tricky to manage, but this farm makes it look effortless. The mix of pink and white farm buildings, furniture, and craftables creates such a warm, inviting atmosphere.

by wolvinie

Another really cute Beach Farm layout! This one doesn’t seem to use mods, and I really wanted to include at least one that doesn’t. The mix of cozy vibes and productivity is spot-on!

Meadowlands Farms 🐔

If you love raising animals, this farm gives you a head start. Instead of getting Parsnip Seeds at the beginning of the game, you get a free Coop with two chickens and some hay to keep them fed.

by A_Kaldemar

This farm is a perfect mix of beauty and function! Instead of just focusing on efficiency, the farmer took the time to create a fully designed layout, and it turned out amazing. It just looks so well put together.

by devrys

This might just be one of the most beautiful Meadowlands farm designs out there! (again, and always: in my opinion) The whole layout looks so natural yet organized. Everything flows together perfectly, and those fishing ponds in the bottom left corner? Such a cozy touch! It’s the kind of farm that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the little details.

How to Share Your Farm

Want to show off your farm? Good news! Most platforms have a built-in way to capture your entire farm map.

If you’re playing on PC, Switch, PlayStation, or Mobile, here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the in-game map you want to capture.
  2. Go to your inventory and head over to the Options tab.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and find the screenshot option.
  4. (PC only) Choose a percentage (this just affects the image quality)
  5. Click the camera button or select screenshot on console or mobile.

Your screenshots will be saved in different locations depending on your device:

  • PC: %appdata%\StardewValley\Screenshots (Windows) or ~/.local/share/StardewValley/Screenshots (Mac/Linux).
  • Switch: In your Album.
  • PS4/PS5: Under Settings -> Storage -> Capture Gallery (PS4) or Media Gallery (PS5).
  • Mobile (iOS/Android): Look in the Files app (On My iPhone/iPad -> Stardew Valley -> StardewScreenshots) or in Android/data/com.chucklefish.stardewvalley/files/Screenshots.

But what if you’re on Xbox or PS Vita?
Sadly, there’s no built-in way to capture your whole farm. There’s a workaround though: head over to Robin’s shop, select the Move Buildings option, and take multiple screenshots. You’ll have to stitch them together manually, but it helps! You can also use Stardew Planner if you prefer. It will take a longer time though.

Planning Your Farm

If you’re struggling to plan your farm layout, Stardew Planner is a lifesaver. It lets you map out everything before you place a single fence or building. There’s even a multiplayer planner so you and your friends can design a farm together!

Wrap Up

And that’s it for today’s collection of Stardew Valley layout ideas! I hope you found some inspiration for your next farming adventure~
